Performance

The LEAF S is home to a 40-kWh battery pack, and you get an estimated range of 149 miles. The output is a healthy 147 horsepower. If you choose the SV Plus model, you get a 62-kWh battery and get boosted to a range of 215 miles. This trim level also produces 214 horsepower for an impactful drive. The LEAF is a front-wheel-drive hatchback.

Technology

The LEAF utilizes technology in many ways to keep you safer. Choosing either of the available trim levels will mean getting blind-spot intervention, which can automatically steer your vehicle back into your lane if it detects a potential collision.

Lane departure warning, rear automatic braking, lane-keeping assist, and forward collision mitigation are also standard. The SV Plus adds to that solid list of features, gaining adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, and driver attention monitoring. Bringing home the LEAF SV Plus will also mean getting ProPilot Assist, an advanced feature that combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist.

Trim Levels

There are two versions of the LEAF that you can bring home. The first is the S, which has a generous amount of standard equipment to enjoy near Gainesville, GA. Examples include automatic headlights, automatic climate control, four USB ports, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, and a push-button start. The SV Plus is your other option. Every new LEAF model is equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. An 8.0-inch touchscreen is standard, and you also get four USB ports. The SV Plus trim level goes up to six speakers rather than the standard four, and it also gets NissanConnect Services. A navigation system is added to this trim level as well.

Interior and Exterior

With bold lines and head-turning paint options, the LEAF will not blend into the crowds. Automatic headlights are among the standard features, and you get LED headlights if you choose the SV Plus model. The upper trim also gets foglights and beautiful 17-inch alloy wheels to enjoy. Color options for the LEAF include Scarlet Ember, Deep Blue, Super Black, and Glacier White. A two-tone paint scheme featuring Pearl White and Super Black is also available.

Inside, the LEAF was designed to maximize passenger and gear space. There are 23.6 cubic feet of space for golf clubs or groceries behind the second row of seats. You can get up to 30 cubic feet of space by folding down the second row. The seats are well-cushioned and comfortable in both rows, making the LEAF an excellent vehicle for the whole family.
